Hello there!
Hope you guys are doing well in your part of the world. I think we can safely say that this coronavirus situation has turned some of us into artists, fitness enthusiast, spiritual healer or Chef.
So during this lockdown, I found out that my friend Emy has an Instagram baking account!
That means she waited for us to be all locked to start showcasing her fantastic cooking skills again.
Here I am drooling over her Insta posts, cursing her because I don’t have her talent and I’m tired of eating pasta.
No need to say, I’m making an appointment as soon as we’re out of this COVID thing, to taste the good stuff!
Since we can’t travel anywhere, here’s below a revisit of the classic crumble and one of her recent act of torture toward me.
This recipe should bring you back, warm memories of your last tropical vacation.
The Exotic Crumble
Flavour
Mango, Rhum, ginger. If that’s a good combo for you too, here are the details below to do It on your own.
Ingredients
How to
- Peel and slice the fruits into small cubes.
- In a pan, heat a knob of butter and brown the apples with the vanilla sugar (they must remain firm).
- Turn off the heat. Add the mango and the three tablespoons of rum.
- Pour into a baking dish.
- In a bowl, sand together sugar, flour and butter cut into pieces (mix with your fingertips).
- Place the dough on the fruit.
- Bake It for 30 minutes at 80°c.
Tasting
I suggest you serve It warm, with a scoop of vanilla ice cream for extra indulgence ( we need that, we deserve that)
See you! Let me know If you try It 😊
